Do you remember your parents saying that as you get older time will fly by?
I am now a believer in this theory. It seems that every year passes by quicker than the last. My kiddos are growing up way to fast and every day, week, year....faster that the ones before. We all need to slow down. Take a deep breath. Be grateful for all the wonderful things in our lives and count our blessings.
Great idea, huh???? I will work on that later. I am way to busy to stop and smell the roses right now. I will smell the roses after we get on the road and have more time together as a family.
This past week was filled with lots of misc. work.
Brent was so busy this week. He left last Monday to drive to Nashville and get his new boat. Picked it up Tuesday and drove back to KC from Nashville. Wednesday he spend the entire day at Show Me Campers and Boats installing his new upgraded equipment and rigging the boat. Thursday he delivered campers and boats to the show at Bartle Hall. Friday and Saturday he was in Kentucky doing a promotion at Anglers Outpost for Triton. Sunday--- church, birthday party, dinner with family and then he had to go help at the Boat and RV Show. (He is spent.)
I took care of all the other details. You know... the kids!! Although I am overwhelmed with all the work to do, I am excited to start traveling with my family. Anyone who is longing for some "closeness"-- spend 6 months in a 35 foot fifth wheel with your husband, kids and dog. I promise that you will be 'close.' It's not for everyone...but it works for the Chapman Clan.

There is so much to do...Only three weeks to do it. We are in crunch time people!!!!
Brent is in Nashville picking up the new boat from Triton and I am....I am....Oh, goofing off on the computer. Oops.
No really, we have so much to do that it gets overwhelming. The most important part of cramming before we start each tournament season is getting a little face time with all of our friends and family. I took a little road trip this weekend with Mason, Makalya and Gigi. We headed to Oklahoma for a visit with my grandpa. We had so much fun and I love spending time with him. I miss him the minute we left and headed for home. The kids were good, sweet little angels and nothing got broke...Successful trip!
We are squeezing in as much fun as possible before we hit the road. The next few weeks will be great. I plan to play, play, play. And then squeeze in taxes, filing, bills, acct, packing, ordering jerseys, ordering tackle, consoling my stressed hubby, prepping camper, remove kids from school, conferences and play more. Oh, and exercise......
January is a crazy month at the Chapman house. Steer clear or bring ----! jk

OK! OK!
So I keep hearing----"when are you going to start blogging about your life on the tournament trail?"
NOW.
I will give this my best effort. Between helping Brent with the fishing career, running his business, making travel arrangements, doing taxes and accounting, being a mom... And now Homeschooling (did I spell that right?)
I will now give the old college try to keeping you all updated on our misadventures and RV lifestyle.
We leave town in 4 weeks to start the tournament season. I am excited and anxious. I am ready to get in the camper and start spending all my time with me family. There is something amazing about spending every waking moment with your 4 and 6 year old kiddos. (I may need a reminder about the 'amazing' part later.) But I will miss so many things from our home. Friends, family, LQ preschool and Ray Marsh Elementary for Mason, the house, the gym, the routine. It's all a balance and I hope to give my kids the chance at the best of both worlds.
We will be very busy the next few weeks with preparations to start the fishing season. Brent is working on all his tackle and boat/motor. We are working out many details with our sponsors. We are working on taxes and office things. We will need to get the camper and load in. I am making the attempt to join the 'blogging' world.
It's all good. Just don't judge the typos, grammar and spelling and we will get a long fine.
Welcome to Chapman Fishing!!!!
Bobbi, Brent, Mason and Makayla Chapman.
